Baseball betting can be more profitable than any other type of sports betting. Let me say that again for those that don't believe me. Baseball can be your best money making sport. Why is that? Baseball is based on a money line, not on a point spread, and it presents many more opportunities for profit.

In baseball betting, you don't always have to pick more winners than losers to make a profit. That might sound strange, but let's think about it for a moment. Let's say you play two baseball underdogs that are both +150. If you split, you pick up $50 if you wagered $100 on each game. You went 1-1 but still made money. Let's turn that around and say you bet two favorites at -150 and split. Now you would have lost $50. It sounds pretty good to go 1-1 and make money doesn't it?

Baseball is usually not a big moneymaker for sportsbooks around the world because they don't get as much public action. They just lay a little more money on the team and they still get paid. That is the difference with baseball. All the book can do is raise the price. If the team wins you still get paid. That makes baseball a dangerous sport for bookmakers, especially when teams go on streaks. The good news for you as a baseball bettor is that you can follow that streak and get paid off handsomely in the end.
