NFL Week 13 - Dallas Cowboys (7-4) @ N.Y. Giants (6-5)

Sunday, 4:15 pm Eastern
FOX
Opening Line: Cowboys – 3.5

This is a great rivalry game that could decide who wins the NFC East. The Giants look ready to implode and a loss here could send them into oblivion. The Cowboys are riding a three-game winning streak, while the Giants have lost three straight games. SBG Global reports that the losses have affected the betting public as well with long time New York fans even playing the points with the Cowboys on the road.

The Giants beat the Cowboys in Week 7 but it is Dallas that would be in very good shape in the division with a win since a victory here would give them a split with N.Y. and a two game lead. Tony Romo has been virtually unstoppable as a starter. If not for choke artist Mike Vanderjagt (who was cut this week), the Cowboys would be unbeaten with Romo.  Although Romo has been great, this is not a good spot for Dallas.  They have struggled as road favorites going 8-23 against the spread.  They are also only 1-5 against the spread in their last six within the division.

The Giants have done well in this spot.  They are 7-2-1 in their last 10 within the division and are 9-3 against the spread following a straight up loss.  This game comes down to whether you trust recent momentum and side with Dallas or whether you go with history and back the Giants.

Dallas is a 3.5 point favorite with a total of 43.5 at SBG Global.

The Cowboys have become a popular choice with bettors this week in this match up against the Giants. The public is all over Dallas and they are getting off the Giants in waves. The controversy and trouble that New York has had the past few weeks has made bettors very nervous about backing the Giants, even at home. The Giants have comments made by tight end Jeremy Shockey to live up to this week.

Shockey said there was “no chance in hell” that his Giants will lose to the Cowboys this Sunday. Defensive end Michael Strahan is involved in a controversy with wide receiver Plaxico Burress about the lack of effort from Burress at times during games. All of this has made bettors very leery of backing New York this week.
